Background
Increasingly expanded user count in the Public library.
Seoul, the capital in South Korea has tons of public libraries. Among them, Guro-district is well known as a densely populated area due to working places, and residences are mixed.
There are around a hundred of libraries accessible boundaries such as city library, district library, small library, and book cafe for them.
As the number of library users gradually grow, one integrated membership was absolutely necessary for the convenience of book rental & return.
Solution
Facilitated user accessibility in 33 libraries more.
The core card printing solution in IDP was to enhance convenience and system integration.
Since many users in the libraries in Guro-district used to apply their personal information and sign up every time to return/rental books by issuing several different cards.
IDP stood in the user’s situation and helped to issue 33 integrated membership card services to make book rental & return easier and efficient more than before.

Lighthouse of Wisdom -Way of optimizing integrated issuance environment
The Lighthouse of Wisdom is the name of a management system that integrates, operates 33 libraries and archives in the Guro-district, not mean the name of the library.
It allowed users to rent various books without constraint and return the books wherever nearby.
IDP's solution integrated into SMART-51S & Software provided an optimized environment to users enable rent and return books anytime.
The scope of implementation that capable to return books had expanded to the SMART Library in the form of a vending machine. It is enabling users to rent and return with one unity member card, making them flexible use and showing exemplary cases.
